AIRITY Asthma Study
An observational research study to better understand asthma in real-world clinical practice — participants continue their usual standard of care.
About this study
The AIRITY study is an observational research study designed to better understand asthma as it is managed in everyday clinical practice. Participants continue their usual standard of care throughout — there is no investigational medication. Ages 6 and older may qualify for Part 1; adults 18 and older may also qualify for the Part 2 follow-up portion. Participation involves regular visits at VMRC in Miami where the study team documents asthma symptoms and treatment while you keep using your usual inhaled asthma medications.
You may qualify if
- 6 years of age or older (adults 18+ may also qualify for the Part 2 follow-up)
- Physician-diagnosed asthma for at least 12 months
- Currently using inhaled asthma medications (with or without additional asthma therapies)
- Able to attend study visits at the Miami clinic
You may not qualify if
- No physician diagnosis of asthma
- Not currently using inhaled asthma medication
- Unable to attend scheduled visits at VMRC Miami
