Mucoadhesive Clobetasol Patch for Erosive Oral Lichen Planus
Evaluating the efficacy and safety of a novel mucoadhesive Clobetasol patch for the treatment of erosive oral lichen planus.
About this study
A clinical investigation of a novel mucoadhesive Clobetasol patch developed for direct application to oral lesions in patients with erosive oral lichen planus (OLP). VMRC participates as an enrollment site for adult subjects who have failed first-line topical corticosteroid therapy. Visits include lesion mapping, pain VAS scoring, and quality-of-life assessment.
You may qualify if
- Adult 18 years or older
- Histopathologically confirmed erosive oral lichen planus
- Active oral lesions causing measurable pain (VAS ≥ 30/100)
- Failed or intolerant to first-line topical corticosteroids
You may not qualify if
- Concurrent oral infection (candidiasis, herpes simplex)
- Use of systemic immunosuppressants within 30 days
- Active oral malignancy or premalignant lesions other than OLP
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
